Historic South End Spring Clean Up

Rooted volunteers will be available Saturday, May 18 to help residents of the Historic South End in Kent remove unwanted household items and yard waste ahead of the city wide clean up happening the following week. Schedule a pick up time online, or call Haley at 330-410-3514. 

Volunteers are able to help remove items from your home, including appliances, heavy furniture, mattresses, televisions, carpet, clothing, paint, tires, etc. Any household items that are in good shape will be donated to the Habitat for Humanity Restore, Salvation Army or Portage County Clothing Center. 

Volunteers are also able to help with minor landscaping and brush removal on your property. This includes trimming bushes, raking leaves, pulling weeds, etc. Yard waste will be removed and taken to the City of Kent Yard Waste Transfer Site.
