Rooted in love.

We exist to inspire and empower our neighbors to achieve their maximum potential by affirming and cultivating their talents, abilities and resources.

Empowering a neighborhood.

Strategically located in the Historic South End of Kent, Rooted works to create a community where seniors are valued and supported, families are interconnected, strengthened, and empowered, and youth receive the guidance and mentorship they need to reach their maximum potential.

  • Youth.

Our youth strategy is to create a mentoring program that incorporates role modeling, personalized support, and skill-building exercises to equip young people with the resources they need to overcome challenges and lead fulfilling and impactful lives.

  • Seniors.

Our senior strategy is to provide comprehensive and compassionate support for individuals who wish to age in place. We strive to enhance their overall quality of life and dignity by fostering social connections, addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and creating opportunities for life experiences to be celebrated.

  • Community Building.

Our community building strategy is to inform residents of resources and facilitate a variety of programming for people of all ages and backgrounds, including academic support, employment and job training, health and wellness activities, and cultural events. These programs will strengthen and empower our community to be a catalyst for learning, growth, and interconnectedness.

A thriving neighborhood.

We invest in the overall long-term health of families in the Historic South End of Kent by serving as a community resource center where families and individuals regularly come together to learn, grow, and connect. We facilitate and provide a wide range of programs that promote youth development, provide comprehensive and compassionate support for seniors, and act as a connection point for families to support and care for one another.

Our facility today.

We are currently renovating a facility in the Historic South End of Kent, located on the corner of Franklin Avenue and Cherry Street. This space will house much of our programming and services and provide a home base for the community. Watch the video below to see the space prior to our renovations.
